About OPC

The Orlando Pagan Collective is a nonprofit organization run by a small group of volunteers. We serve the larger pagan community in and around the Central Florida area.

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." — Margaret Mead

Our Mission and Services Return to top.

The Orlando Pagan Collective (OPC) exists to establish a stronger sense of community within the Greater Orlando & surrounding Central Florida areas, by developing mutually beneficial community services to help all Pagans practice their particular path or tradition.

  • Offers a first step program for new individuals seeking to find the right home, group or organization, that fits their needs.
  • Provides a support network for all in the region to connect and coordinate activities that foster the Pagan community.
  • Hosts events such as the Orlando Pagan Pride Day and the Annual OPC Picnic.
  • Participates in stewardship programs like adopt a park and volunteer support to local humanitarian needs and animal rescue.
  • Provides information about Paganism to the community at large.
  • Offers support of various kind to the individual Pagan and Pagan groups, as it is needed.

Our History Return to top.

Since 2011 the OPC has served as a community face for the Greater Central Florida Pagans. In that time, we have seen and helped the Greater Orlando area grow from having one or two public Pagan groups to having 10 public groups, practicing a myriad of traditions, from Wicca, Druidry, Hellenic Reconstructionism and more.

Our Philosophy Return to top.

The OPC believes that more is accomplished when people work on common goals cooperatively instead of competitively. We foster a sense of community among Pagan groups to make accomplishing the goals shared by the greater community easier for the mutual benefit of all.

Our Current Community Needs Return to top.

In the Greater Orlando area, we are sometimes challenged to come together as cooperative community, even though a value that most of us share is to accept one another and their individual paths. That is why the OPC exists, to weave a web that connects all of the Pagans and groups together.

Our Next Steps Return to top.

OPC seeks to meet the challenge of reestablishing Pagan Pride Day once more in the Greater Orlando and surrounding areas. The OPC also coordinates programs that bring the community as close to a zero waste life as is possible, while still allowing the members to live without noticeable changes to their overall life style. We do this by:

  • Accepting used tea and coffee grounds from individuals and commercial coffee shops. We will be using these grounds to feed the soil of our herb garden. This garden will support the community’s needs for certain organic herbs for rituals and other workings.
  • Accepting donations of gently used items that may otherwise end up in the landfill. These items will either be used in sales, in which the income would go back into the organization or the items will be appropriately recycled.
  • Collecting empty ink and toner cartridges and recycling them through a nonprofit fundraising program.

Our Visions for Success Return to top.

Our Visions for Success: We see a future where there will be peace in our Pagan community, which will foster more community activities, increase education and stewardship in the community. It will also provide the nonPagan community with understanding of Pagans, their beliefs & values.

We define success not by how many members we have, but by how many Pagans we serve and how many people we help find their spiritual home and community.

OPC may consist of a small group of volunteers, but we believe in this organization with all our heart, blood, sweat and tears
